Deputies in Cumberland County went to a home on Edwards Lane off of Cox Valley Road this week in reference to a stolen vehicle. The 1985 GMC Sierra was taken from a car lot on Highway 70 East on Valentine’s Day. Officers observed the ignition missing from the vehicle along with the radio, door speakers and battery. The homeowner told deputies 37-year-old Joshua Lynn Sherrill of Crab Orchard asked her if he could leave the truck there because it was overheating. A warrant for theft  was taken out for Sherrill.
