WEED EATER THIEF WITH WARRANTS FLEES POLICE IN WOODS

On August 23, 2025, Deputy Joshua Alderman responded to a theft report on Dripping Springs Road in Crossville. Upon arrival, he observed a white male with short black and gray hair and a beard, later identified as Dennis Kirk Binkley, fleeing into the woods.
The homeowner, a 64-year-old individual, reported that Binkley stole a Sthil FS 111 weed eater, valued at $100, on the night of August 20 or early morning of August 21, 2025. The homeowner stated that Binkley pawned the item at Buds Quick Cash in Sparta, accompanied by a woman. Dispatch confirmed Binkley had active warrants in Cumberland and Putnam Counties.
Despite a search, Binkley was not located, and warrants for evading arrest were issued. The incident, classified as “All Other Larceny,” was documented and approved by Corporal Brandon Griffin on the same day.
