WET WEEK AHEAD

Post placeholder image

It looks like we are going to have an active week with showers and thunderstorms likely each day and temperatures a little below normal for this time of year. Rain chances go from 50% Monday to 70% Tuesday through Friday and then 50% for the weekend, I am afraid there are no beautiful sunny days in the forecast for quite a while. High temperatures will mostly be from the upper 70s to low 80s for the plateau this week so we have said farewell to 90 for a while. There is a little meteor shower Tuesday night but we may not get to see it with the cloud cover so I will keep you posted. There is a big meteor shower coming on August 11th and 12th and I will have more information on that one in the coming days and weeks. The tropics are getting active again and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Gulf Coast or the eastern coast of the US hit by a tropical system in the next ten days to two weeks.
