WHEELCHAIR-BOUND MAN SAYS HE WAS ROBBED OF OVER $11,000 WORTH OF GOODS
On Monday, Deputy Dustin Jackson spoke with a man in the Justice Center Lobby who said that for approximately the last 3.5 months, a man had been living in his residence at Cow Pens Drive, but only moved out about a week ago.
The homeowner is confined to a wheelchair, so he hasn’t been able to go to the residence since the guest left. He had someone walk through the residence and send him photos, the only evidence he has of these offenses.
The homeowner alleges that the guest caused damage to the residence and several items were missing. The stolen items include but are not limited to: Multiple tablets and a Google Chromebook valued at $3,000; the keys to a Mini Cooper valued at $1,000; damaged insulation, blinds and bed padding valued at $7,000. The estimated values were provided by the homeowner.
He said he would complete a more detailed list when the wheelchair lift in the residence is fixed.
