WHITE COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER ARRESTED FOR CHILD RAPE
A White County middle school teacher is facing three counts of rape of a child.
Officers say 27-year-old Austin Damon Allen was taken into custody in Cookeville before being transported to the White County Jail.
He is being held on a $750,000 dollar bond.
Authorities say an investigation from the White County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Children’s Services, and the District Attorney’s Office determined Allen had been engaging in sexual activity with a minor child.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The district attorney said more victims are possible.
