WHITE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE OPENS X-RAY MACHINE FOR CANDY SCANS

From the official Facebook page of the White County Sheriff’s Office:
The White County Sheriff’s Office will be using the X-ray machine at the Justice Center to scan for potentially hazardous items in children’s candy on Halloween night, Thursday, October 31st.
From 3:30 to 10 p.m., parents and kids can bring their candy to the Justice Center, where an employee will be on hand to operate the X-ray machine. When you arrive, pick up the phone in the Justice Center Lobby and dial 272 and an Officer will come down to x-ray.
Sheriff Page encourages parents and caregivers to always supervise children while trick or treating and remain in well-lit areas.
Sheriff Page also wants to caution motorists to be more aware of children on Halloween.
