Willene Porter, age 81, of Rockwood, passed away March 14, 2021 at her home. She was born October 30, 1939 in Crab Orchard, Tennessee. She worked at Big K/Wal-Mart in Crossville for 21 years as well as at Dr. Krusa’s dental office in Crossville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leebert Kindred and Geneva Monday McClellan; first husband: Clarence Turner; sisters: Jean Kindred and Rita Johnson; and brother LeRoy Kindred. Survivors include her husband: Tommy Porter; children: Gary Turner (Kim) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Lisa Turner (Greg) of Basye, Virginia, Greg Turner (Paula) of Nashville, Lori King (Michael) of Baton Rouge, and Kristina Perkins (Jason) of Rockwood; grandchildren: Nick Pittelkau (Liz), Savannah Henderson (Stephen), Andrew Turner, Luke Turner and Taylor Perkins; great-grandchildren: Reed Pittelkau, Nico Pittelkau and Tessa Pittelkau; nephew: Tim Johnson; and a very special “Thank You” to her niece, Christa Naegele, who she loved like one of her own children. Christa was with her much of the last few weeks, along with Tommy, making her feel loved and comfortable. No funeral services will be held.
