Goth Bart Swicegood, age 87, of Rockwood, passed away March 15, 2021. He was a member of Mt. Vernal Baptist Church and was a Navy veteran in the Korean War. He enjoyed woodworking and working outside.  Mr. Swicegood worked all his life to get here.  He was preceded in death by his parents: George & Reba Wilson Swicegood; brother: Gorm Swicegood; and sister: Vayon Swicegood. Survivors include sons: Greg & Penny Swicegood of Rockwood and Gordon & Su Swicegood of Sawanee, Georgia; grandchildren: Beau Garrett Swicegood of Colorado, Joseph Swicegood of Atlanta, and Joshua Swicegood of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; great-grandchildren: Isaac Swicegood, Gabriella Swicegood, and Juliana Swicegood; and brother: Garo & Pat Swicegood of Crossville. Family and friends will meet at Mt. Vernal Cemetery for a graveside service Saturday, March 20, 2021 at noon eastern. Evans Mortuary in Rockwood is serving the family.
