WILLIAMS’ SHOT WITH SECONDS TO GO LIFTS VOLS OVER OLE MISS, 73-71
Grant Williams’ close-range shot 4.3 seconds to go gave the U.T. Vols a 73-71 win over Ole Miss on the road last night.
The win gave the Vols a double bye in the SEC tournament, guaranteeing a top-four conference finish. They also pulled back into a tie with LSU and Kentucky at the top of the SEC.
The win gave Tennessee its 25th victory of the season, a goal they’ve reached four times before. They’re now one win away from matching last year’s 26-win season. The program record for wins in a season is 31.
