A winter storm warning goes into effect at 6 p.m. and will continue till 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning for all of the Cumberland plateau and Middle Tennessee. The heavier freezing rain is expected to start around midnight and continue during the day Monday when it could become a mix of different types of precipitation. By Monday night we expect colder air to move in and the precip changing to snow with several inches of accumulation possible. Be sure to get everything in that you might need for several days because road conditions may not improve a great deal until Wednesday.
