WOMAN ALLEGEDLY VIOLATES PROTECTION ORDER IN CROSSVILLE DOMESTIC ASSAULT
According to a report by the Crossville Police Department, On March 22, 2026, at approximately 4:00 AM, 39-year-old Randi D. Ports of Crossville, allegedly violated an active order of protection by forcibly entering her husband’s residence at 17 Vic Street. She kicked in the back door, breaking the lock and door frame, then entered the bedroom where the victim was lying down and stabbed the bed he was in thirteen times while screaming.
The victim sustained visible injuries, including a swollen upper lip, swollen right cheek, and a laceration under his right ear with dried blood. Officers observed the stab marks in the mattress and sheets, as well as the damaged door.
Randi Ports was later located at 34 Dawn Lane, taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Cumberland County Justice Center.
She was charged with aggravated assault (domestic) and violation of an order of protection.
The knife used in the incident was not recovered.
