WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY TRYING TO RUN OVER TWO PEOPLE WITH A VEHICLE

Roane County deputies responded to a Black Oak Drive residence last Friday (August 25, 2017) where they say 40-year-old Amy Joanne Ramirez of Oak Ridge allegedly poured gas on a vehicle and a trailer and attempted to run over two people. According to witness statements on the arrest report, Ramirez pulled into the driveway at a high rate of speed where the two victims were at and got out of the vehicle with a knife in one hand and a hacksaw in the other. Ramirez allegedly charged at both of them swinging the items at them. Ramirez then left and that is when officers say she attempted to run both victims down. Officers located Ramirez a short time later and charged her with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal trespassing. Ramirez was transported to the Roane County jail.
