According to a report by the Crossville Police Department, on November 30, 2025, at approximately 3:23 a.m., Crossville Police Sergeant Chrystal Massey observed a heavily damaged black Dodge Ram driving southbound on N. Main Street on a rim with significant front-end and undercarriage damage. The truck turned into the Waffle House parking lot, drove through the grass, nearly struck a post, and stopped.

The driver, later identified as Kelli Beasmore, was unable to exit through the obstructed driver’s-side door and climbed out the passenger side. She denied being in an accident despite visible fresh damage and red marks on her temple, claimed she had entered through the driver’s door, and said she had driven from the Genesis Road exit to Exit 317 after consuming one or two beers. Officers noted a strong odor of alcohol, red watery eyes, and unsteadiness on her feet.

Beasmore agreed to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, exhibiting multiple indicators of impairment: 6 of 6 clues on Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (including lack of smooth pursuit, distinct nystagmus at maximum deviation, and onset prior to 45 degrees), 7 of 8 clues on Walk-and-Turn, and 3 of 4 clues on One-Leg Stand (test stopped for safety). A preliminary breath test resulted in a FAIL. She consented to a blood draw under implied consent.

Investigation revealed Beasmore had left the roadway on the Exit 317 on-ramp, struck a TDOT sign (leaving a Dodge Ram emblem at the scene), driven over an embankment to re-enter the roadway, and fled the scene. Vehicle and property damage was estimated at $5,000–$10,000.

Beasmore was arrested for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, transported for a blood draw at Cumberland Medical Center at 4:40 a.m., and booked into the Cumberland County Justice Center.
