WOMAN ARRESTED NEAR RED ROOF INN CHARGED WITH VEHICLE THEFT

According to a report from the Crossville Police Department, on Wednesday, Officer Corey Freeman was patrolling the high-crime area around the Red Roof Inn when he noticed a blue Nissan Frontier in the back lot with a female passenger who stared at his car as he drove by.
He initiated a consensual encounter with the occupants. The female, who appeared nervous, initially provided Whitney Neu/Mcneal but couldn’t produce an ID or a Social Security number.
After further investigation revealed the identity didn’t match her description, she consented to a search of her purses, where items bearing the name Andrea Haines were found. The criminal justice portal confirmed her real identity as Andrea Nicole Haines.
Haines was taken into custody and transported to the county jail. During a strip search, deputies observed her swallowing something and found a container with two pills, identified as Acetaminophen and Oxycodone (10 mg/325 mg), which she admitted were “Perkeset 10s.”
Meanwhile, a stolen vehicle report came in from a man regarding his Nissan Frontier, valued at $5,000, which Haines was found possessing. The man reported the vehicle stolen between 11:00 PM on March 25 and 6:00 AM on March 26, alleging Haines had taken a spare key a month earlier without permission. He confirmed a prior history with her and wanted to press charges.
During an interview after being Mirandized, Haines denied swallowing pills but confirmed the seized pills were “Perk 10s.” She claimed a friend picked her up and that she had sold the truck to the owner, contradicting his account.
She grew upset and ended the interview when confronted with statements from the truck owner and another occupant who confirmed she was the only female in the truck and had picked him up.
Haines was charged with Simple Possession of Schedule II Oxycodone, Introduction of Contraband into a Facility, Criminal Impersonation, and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
The pills were secured as evidence at the Crossville Police Department.
