WOMAN ARRESTED ON GENESIS WITH METH, GABAPENTIN, AND A SUSPENDED LICENSE

On April 24, 2025, a Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a silver Mazda sedan on Genesis Rd, driven by Crystal Hyder, who exhibited suspicious behavior, including attempting to hide her face and pulling into a gas station to avoid detection.
The Deputy noted Hyder’s suspended license and observed her speeding at 61 mph in a 40 mph zone. After a brief chase, Hyder stopped, and the Deputy arrested her. A search revealed suspected methamphetamine, Gabapentin pills, and drug paraphernalia on her person and in the vehicle.
Hyder was charged with simple possession of methamphetamine and Gabapentin, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while suspended. The seized substances were sent to the TBI Lab for testing, and Hyder was booked at Cumberland County Intake.
