WOMAN CLAIMS SHE WAS KIDNAPPED AFTER BEING INVOLVED IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

A Cumberland County woman claimed she was kidnapped after being involved in a vehicle accident Tuesday. Deputies and medics responded to a home on Hileah Drive in Lake Tansi where they saw a man standing in the yard and a woman in her 30’s on the ground. The male stated they were traveling on Cherokee Trail when he lost control in a curve and crashed into some trees. The female crawled out of the vehicle then walked to the residence on Hileah to get help. As she was inside the ambulance being treated for injuries, the officer’s body cam recorded the victim stating the male held her against her will. The incident is under investigation. The names of the two involved will not be presently released as it is an active case.
