WOMAN CRASHES CAR INTO KNOXVILLE NURSING HOME
In Knoxville, Tennessee, a 24-year-old woman, Eleasah Williams, crashed her car into Shannondale Assisted Living facility on Middlebrook Pike at around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, resulting in the death of a 96-year-old resident, Walter D. Humphrey.
Court records indicate Williams was suicidal and homicidal, intending to kill herself and others, and was driving at an unsafe speed after taking prescription medications and using a THC vape. She has been charged with vehicular homicide with recklessness.
The facility reported that all other residents are safe, and structural assessments are underway to address damage limited to one section of the building.
