On Monday, a single-car accident occurred in Roane County on Riggs Chapel Road in the 700 block, just after noon. The vehicle flipped over in a driveway, and the female driver fled the scene. She was later found in the 800 block with lacerations and bleeding.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated and arrested 35-year-old Amanda Kay Turpin, charging her with driving on a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident. She was held at Roane County Jail on a $3,500 bond.
