WOMAN DIES AFTER SHOOTING AT BUDGET MOTEL IN ROCKWOOD
Medics and law enforcement in Roane County responded over the weekend to two separate gunshot victims.
One incident happened yesterday morning. Officers say Lifestar landed on Gateway Avenue in Rockwood in front of the Budget Motel to transport a 38-year-old female who was suffering from a gunshot wound in a room. The woman was flown to U.T. Medical Center, where she passed away. Details of the shooting were not initially released.
The second incident took place in Kingston Saturday night after a male subject sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a home on Patton Ferry Road. He was taken to Roane Medical Center, where he later died.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
