WOMAN FACES MULTIPLE FRAUD AND THEFT CHARGES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY COURT
A local woman is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court on June 25, 2026, to face multiple criminal charges stemming from a series of unauthorized transactions at local businesses.
Emily Brooke Greenwood faces a total of six criminal counts, including three counts of fraudulent use or illegal possession of a credit or debit card and three counts of theft of property under $1,000.
According to court documents filed by Investigator Kevin Wood of the Crossville Police Department, the charges originate from a series of incidents on August 19, 2018. Affidavits of complaint state that Greenwood allegedly used a credit card belonging to someone else without their consent to make purchases at several commercial locations along Obed Plaza and the surrounding area.
For each transaction, Greenwood has been charged with both the fraudulent use of the financial card and the subsequent theft of the property obtained. While the original affidavits and arrest warrants were sworn out in September 2018, the cases were officially filed onto the current criminal court docket on March 17, 2026.
Greenwood’s case is set to be heard before a General Sessions judge this week.
