The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics responded this morning to a single-vehicle accident at the 336-mile marker of I-40 in Cumberland County.

Preliminary information indicates a young adult female lost control of her car and crashed.

She was airlifted to an area trauma center for treatment of serious injuries.

A full report of the accident will be released at a later time by the highway patrol.
