On Wednesday, a Crossville police officer responded to the address of 233 Old Lantana Road. A woman advised the officer that she was suppose to meet a lady to rent the house. She had found the rental on Facebook Marketplace through a woman name Sydney Oliver. To secure that the house would be hers, she transferred $830 using the Zelle banking app. The woman who claimed to own the house never showed up and the posts on social media were deleted. She has been unable to reach the woman by phone as well.
