WOMAN REPORTS CREDIT CARD FRAUD FROM OLD HOME IN OHIO
On June 17, 2025, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office received a report of identity theft and credit card fraud from a 40-year-old resident of Falling Trees Lane in Crossville. Deputy K-9 Tashua Stone documented that the complainant was alerted by the new owners of her former Ohio home about multiple credit card applications filed in her name without her consent.
She confirmed she had not applied for any credit cards and contacted credit advisors, who recommended filing a police report to protect her credit history. As of the report date, no applications had been approved, and no financial losses were reported.
The incident, classified as Credit Card/Automatic Teller Machine Fraud, involved five unauthorized credit card applications.
The suspect remains unknown.
