WOMAN SAID SON HIT HER WITH GOLF CLUB; DIDN’T MENTION SHE CHOKED HIM FIRST

Responding to a domestic-assault call Saturday night, Cumberland County deputies encountered 38-year-old Tiffany Nicole Warner of McMinnville, who claimed her son hit her with a golf club.

What she neglected to say was that she went to her ex-husband’s home, grabbed her son and began to choke him.

According to the arrest report, the son, fearing for his life, “grabbed the nearest thing in sight, which was a golf club,” and hit Warner to get her off him.

Warner’s ex-husband grasped her by her shirt collar and escorted her from the residence, after which Warner said she fell and hurt her finger.

The arrest report indicates Warner, who was highly intoxicated, left and returned to an address on Midway Road, where she called authorities and claimed to have been assaulted by her son.

After interviewing multiple witnesses, authorities determined Warner was the primary aggressor; she was arrested for domestic assault.
