WOMAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR VEHICULAR HOMICIDE

A Roane County woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison Friday (September 22, 2017) for vehicular homicide. Judge Jeff Wicks handed down the sentence to 44-year-old Robin Ledbetter stemming from the 2015 Valentine’s Day vehicular homicide death of 46-year-old Terrance (Terry) Clark. On February 14, 2015, Ledbetter crossed the centerline on U.S. Highway 70 near Charles Ballew Road and struck the vehicle Clark was in head-on, causing Clark to be killed, and his wife and son to suffer serious injuries. Ledbetter admitted the accident was caused by her being intoxicated by numerous prescription medications. Ledbetter will be eligible for parole after serving just over three years of the ten-year sentence.
