A Crossville city officer arrived at the Justice Center Monday morning to make a theft report.

The victim stated he arrived at the Cumberland County General Session Court at 8:45 AM with his backpack and listed several items that were inside the backpack, including a cell phone, all valued at around $645. When the victim got out of court, his bag was missing.

The officer reviewed video footage from the Justice Center, which showed the victim entering the building and approximately 45 minutes later, reveals an unknown female walking over getting the backpack, and exiting the justice center with the bag.

The female was wearing jeans, a black hoodie, and brown shoes. She appeared to be tall, with dark hair in a messy bun, and medium built.

The officer attempted to call the phone, however, it was turned off and went to voicemail.

Video surveillance footage was entered into evidence at the Crossville Police Department.
