On Wednesday, a woman filed a report at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office stating that she had written a check at the end of September for $540.00 It was intercepted before getting to its destination. The check was then forged in the amount of $9,800.70. It was cashed at a different branch of her bank, in Texas. The woman stated that she did not authorize the check that was cashed. The bank in Texas would not look into it without a police report.
