Work progresses on a section of Riggs Chapel Road in Roane County that was washed out. A two-mile section closed down after a large part of Walden Ridge collapsed onto the roadway back in late February. Crews are presently working to stabilize the area. Once that is completed, repaving, striping and installing a guard rail will be done. If everything goes as planned and if the weather is favorable for workers, the project could be completed by December of this year.
