10,366 TOTAL CASES OF COVID-19 IN TENNESSEE, TOTAL CASES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY RISES TO 74 – APRIL 29, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 10,366 (314 new cases since yesterday) total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today, 195 died (up 7 from yesterday), 1,013 had to be hospitalized (up 132 since yesterday) and 5,140 recovered (plus 219 since yesterday). Health officials report 168,549 individuals tested in the state (up 6,621 from yesterday).

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

LOUDON – 10 remaining active cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 32 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 530 negative tests

MCMINN – 83 remaining active cases (nearly all of these is at Life Care Center in Athens) out of 89 total cases, 1 fatality, 1,135 negative tests

MEIGS – 5 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 8 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 142 negative tests

MONROE – 6 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 16 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday, 1 fatality, 384 negative tests

MORGAN –  0 remaining active cases out of 6 total cases, 259 negative tests
