10th ANNIVERSARY OF KINGSTON COAL ASH SPILL OBSERVED
This past Saturday marked the 10th anniversary of the Kingston Coal Ash Spill which became one of the worst environmental disasters in history. A memorial service was held in order to honor those involved in the cleanup effort. Many who worked the spill have acquired health problems since that time or have even died. Around 150 people were at the service, along with several local and state dignitaries which included County Executive Ron Woody and State Sen. Ken Yager.
