15 YEAR OLD ARRESTED FOR MAKING THREATS AGAINST GREENEVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

A threat in a restroom yesterday at Greeneville High School resulted in the school being on a modified lockdown today. School officials immediately contacted the Greeneville Police Department yesterday about the threat. This morning, students arriving had to pass through metal detectors and had their bags searched. Officials say no weapons or contraband were found during the search. The school kept increased police presence at the school throughout the day. Authorities said this afternoon in a news conference that the threat pertained to the use of a firearm at the school. Authorities arrested a 15-year-old male freshman today for making terroristic threats in the incident.
