17 RESOLUTIONS APPROVED AT CUMBERLAND COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

At last night’s Cumberland County Commission meeting, commissioners approved 17 resolutions, including sales of two delinquent-tax properties and measures regarding multiple budget line items. All budget-related resolutions had received previous approval from the Budget Committee and required passage on a roll-call vote. John Patterson was the only commissioner absent from last night’s meeting.

The final resolution was regarding designation of a 25 mph speed limit on Grassland Road. Four members of the public spoke during the public-comments section of the meeting – two in favor of the resolution and two against.

According to Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, unless a speed limit is posted, the default speed limit on county roads is 55 miles per hour.
