2 AIRLIFTED TO AREA TRAUMA CENTERS AFTER SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY

Two women were airlifted to area trauma centers after a serious single vehicle accident took place in Cumberland County Saturday evening. According to Assistant County Fire Chief John Hall, emergency personnel were alerted to the wreck at the 2900 block of Creston Road about 6:55 PM. When crews arrived at the scene they discovered a pickup truck that had smashed into a tree and was lying on its side. Preliminary reports revealed two female occupants. Assistant Chief Hall told 1057 News that the driver was found walking around, a passenger had to be extricated from the wreckage. A landing Zone was established at Liberty Baptist Church and both Life Force and Lifestar helicopters landed to transport the victims. Neither female was identified. At the time of this report, there was no information as to the extent of the women’s injuries. 1057 News will have more details as they are released.
