2 CHARGED WITH BURGLARY AND VANDALISM OF HARRIMAN HS CONCESSION STAND

Police have charged a man and juvenile in connection with the vandalism of the Harriman High School concession stand and other burglaries. Officers were first called to a Siluria Street location where several vehicles, the roadway, private residences and the Mill Baptist Church had been vandalized with orange spray paint. Other complaints were made about area burglaries and afterward, police were called to the concession stand burglary and vandalism. Officers observed forced entry made into the building with $2000 worth of loss of food and supplies and $500 in damages. Later, contact was made with 19-year-old James E. Tackett and the unnamed male juvenile who were in possession of stolen property from one of the burglaries. Burglary tools were also found and connected with the concession stand entry. Tackett was charged with Burglary, Felony Vandalism, Simple Possession Schedule II Narcotics, Simple Possession Schedule VI Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Possession of Burglary Tools, seven counts of Vandalism, Auto Burglary and Theft of Property under $1000.00. The juvenile was charged with Burglary, Felony Vandalism, six counts of Vandalism, Possession of Burglary Tools, Theft of Property under $1000.00 and Auto Burglary.
