Two people were treated for injuries received in a two-vehicle accident in Cumberland County Wednesday night. Law enforcement personnel and EMS were called to the 1000 block of Vandever Road shortly after 6 PM. Sources say that a 71-year-old man driving a truck crossed over the double line and struck a Volkswagen head-on. The driver of the VW, a 20-year-old female, was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of neck injuries while a 21-year-old male passenger was also taken to the hospital for head and chest injuries. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening and no names were released. The 71-year-old man reportedly refused treatment. Possible charges are pending.
