Before we know it 2018 will be here bringing with it a big election year. Tennessee will see the election of a new governor, along with the election of other different state, county and municipal officials. Although the first primary election is scheduled to be held on May 1^st, the first day for would-be candidates to pick up their qualifying petitions is this coming Friday, November 17. The qualifying deadline is Thursday, Feb. 15 at 12 Noon. Other election dates in 2018 include the State Primary and County General Elections on August 2 and the General Election on November 6.
