The Crossville City Council last night proclaimed this Sunday, July 15, as 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment Day. The unit is being deployed to Eastern Europe for 13 months. Citizens are asked to line the streets for the unit’s departure this Sunday (July 15, 2018) at 6 a.m., from the Crossville National Guard Armory to North Main Street then to Interstate 40. Mayor James Mayberry asks all residents that morning to show their support, honor and appreciation to the troops, wish them well and a safe return home.
