27TH ANNUAL BRAT RIDE TO INCLUDE CUMBERLAND COUNTY THIS YEAR
An annual state biking event will be including Cumberland County in the itinerary. The 27th annual Fall Bicycle Ride Across Tennessee (BRAT) begins Sunday, Sept. 11th at 7 AM at the Cumberland Mountain State Park in special commemoration of 9/11. According to Crossville Police Chief Mark Rosser, at least 160 bike riders will be participating. The first day will take riders through the south, southwestern and northwestern parts of the county. This will also entail the closing of Pigeon Ridge Rd. near Highway 127 to vehicle traffic from 7-7:30 AM. The week long excursion generally takes riders through a different section of Tennessee each year.
