3 CHARGED IN TRAFFIC STOP
Three people were charged during a traffic stop in Crossville Saturday. According to the report, officers stopped a red Jeep Cherokee on Elmore Road because they had previous knowledge that the driver, 36-year-old Bobby Lynn Norris, had a suspended license. Norris and two other passengers were asked to exit the vehicle. A capped syringe was found on a male passenger, and a female, 29-year-old Ann Marie Augusti, claimed a loaded Astra 9mm handgun that was found under the rear seat. All three occupants were discovered to have been convicted felons. During the investigation, another female, 33-year-old Karen Bernice Dilbeck, who was not in the vehicle, tried to claim ownership of the gun. She was charged with filing a false report. Norris was charged with driving on a suspended license, while Augusti was served with outstanding warrants and unlawful possession of a handgun. The second male was released without being charged.
