$540 CROSSBOW STOLEN FROM CROSSVILLE SPORTING GOODS STORE
On November 18, 2025, Officer Colten Johns responded to a theft report at Dunham’s Sports. A store employee reported that an unknown male suspect, described as wearing a dark hoodie, dark hat, blue jeans, and sporting a goatee, entered the store around 2:00 p.m. without a crossbow and exited approximately three minutes later carrying a fully assembled crossbow in his left hand, passing all points of sale without paying.
Surveillance footage captured him only on the front entrance camera and did not show him entering empty-handed and leaving with the item. Weaver noted that pre-assembled crossbows are normally secured, leading her to believe the suspect removed one from its box and assembled it inside the store before walking out.
Officers searched for the empty box but initially could not locate it; the employee later found and reported it. The stolen crossbow was valued at $539.99.
The suspect’s direction and method of travel after leaving remain unknown; no video footage was collected at the time, and as of the report date, no suspect has been identified or charged.
