$5,800 IN TOOLS STOLEN FROM ROCK QUARRY RD. BUSINESS
On Wednesday, Deputy Dustin Jackson of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was notified by a business owner that various items were stolen from his business on Rock Quarry Road. Deputies Jackson and Smith made contact with the owner and his employees who were actively searching for which property was missing.
The owner said that tools were stolen from his gray 1985 Chevrolet Truck, including a Stihl HT103 pole saw valued at $800, a Stihl blower valued at $500, a Stihl trim saw, and two nail guns valued at $250 each (approximate values).
One of the employees said the lights were on when they arrived at work on the morning of the theft, therefore, the lights were likely turned on during the theft by someone familiar with the building.
The owner also said that two 881 Stihl saws valued at approximately $2000 each were stolen from his storage.
So far there are possible suspects but no charges have been pressed, and no warrants have been signed.
