LOCAL MAN GIVES STRANGE WOMAN HIS BANKING INFO; DROPPED BY BANK
On Wednesday, Deputy Jeffrey Brown was dispatched to the area of John Warner Herb Circle to look into a possible fraud case. Upon arrival, Deputy Brown made contact with a man who said that a woman had come to his home around 2 weeks ago.
The victim and this woman started talking and she stated she was an accountant when asked what she did for work. The victim said he needed an accountant and told the deputy he gave her all his bank information. The woman was said by the victim to have taken out $500 and then $400 from the man’s account.
He was then contacted on Tuesday by First National Bank who said there were 3 transactions of $500 trying to be withdrawn from his account, but only the $500 and $400 charges were processed.
The victim said a representative with First National Bank told him he needed to contact the police and get a police report, and
they said that he needed to bank elsewhere and they weren’t going to be his bank anymore.
The victim was told by the bank that the transactions were done over a computer because she had all his information.
