68 MILLION DOLLAR PLAN UNVEILED FOR ROANE COUNTY SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT
Last night the public got a glimpse of a $68 million project to renovate schools in Roane County as well as the proposed construction of a super high school to be built and operational by the year 2021. The plan calls for removing Ridge View Elementary, Harriman Middle, Rockwood High, Roane County High, Harriman High and Oliver Springs High from service. Ridge View will use the present Rockwood High facility and Harriman Middle will be moved to Harriman High. The County Commission is expected to vote on the proposal at a future meeting.
