7,842 TOTAL CASES OF COVID 19 IN TENNESSEE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY GOES UP TO 60 TOTAL CASES – APRIL 22, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 7,842 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 22, 2020), 166 died, 775 had to be hospitalized and 4,012 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

BLOUNT – 47 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of which 41 recovered (same as yesterday) =  6 remaining active cases, 3 fatalities, 777 tested

CLAY – 5 total case (same as yesterday) of which 3 recovered =  2 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday), 180 tested

CUMBERLAND – 60 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday) of which 29 recovered = 31 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday), 1,015 tested

FENTRESS – 4 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 1 recovered = 3 remaining active cases (same as yesterday), 166 tested

KNOX – 199 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) of which 169 recovered = 30 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 3,802 tested

LOUDON – 23 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 18 recovered =  5 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday), 361 tested

MCMINN – 6 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 4 recovered (same as yesterday) = 2 remaining active cases, 743 tested

MEIGS – 5 total cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) of which 2 recovered = 3 remaining active case (up 2 cases from yesterday), 106 tested

MONROE – 11 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 7 recovered (same as yesterday) = 4 remaining active cases, 1 fatality, 305 tested

MORGAN – 5 total cases (same as yesterday) of which 5 recovered = 0 remaining active cases (same as yesterday), 143 tested
