CROSSVILLE WOMAN CHARGED AFTER VEHICLE ACCIDENT AND ALLEGEDLY KICKING FEMALE OFFICER IN ABDOMEN

Crossville police responded last night to Taco Bell on North Main Street after a driver in a vehicle hit the side of the building, a gas line and a concrete pole. Officers stated in their report 33-year-old Kristen Laurel Daugherty of Crossville, who appeared to be intoxicated, refused to step out of the vehicle after several commands to do so. She eventually got out of her vehicle. After placing Daugherty into a police cruiser, she allegedly kicked a female officer in the abdomen. Daugherty was arrested for DUI, resisting arrest and assault of a police officer.
