8,266 TOTAL CASES OF COVID 19 IN TENNESSEE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY UP TO 61 TOTAL CASES, ROANE CONTINUES TO HOLD AT 8 TOTAL  – APRIL 23, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 8,266 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 23, 2020), 170 died, 793 had to be hospitalized and 4,193 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

KNOX – 203 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) of which 173 recovered = 30 remaining active cases, 4 fatalities, 3,314 negative tests
