Tuesday morning, an elderly Cumberland County resident alerted deputies to a possible joyriding incident involving his truck and his grandson’s girlfriend.

The girlfriend arrived at the man’s home on the 400 block of Highway 68 and informed him his grandson had a flat tire on his bicycle outside Walmart. The man gave the girlfriend the keys to his 2003 Ford Ranger pickup truck so she could go pick him up.

The truck, which is valued at approximately $4,000, has not been returned. Deputies are looking into the incident.
