MAJOR STORM FOR THE SMOKIES

It’s going to be a Cloudy cold night with temperatures in the 30s. Saturday we have a chance of a little mixture of precipitation very early and very late in the day with mostly a cold rain possible in the afternoon 50%. Sunday and Monday there is a chance of light snow or a mixture with temperatures in the 30s near 40 so it continues to be a borderline situation and please stay tuned throughout the weekend and I will keep you updated. Eastbound travel is certainly not recommended with up to 16 inches of snow possible in the Smokies and enough ice to down trees in that area. We will get a bit of a warming Trend back in here for mid-to-late next week. The national high temperature on Friday was 83 at McAllen Texas and the low 24 below zero at Stanley Idaho.
