THEFT/VANDALISM REPORTED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY BUSINESS PROPERTY

In response to a call by the owner, Cumberland County investigators are looking into a theft from a Woodlawn Road address. The owner reported he’d put a local towing company out of his building for improper upkeep and damage to the building. When he went there Sunday, he found several items had been stolen.

The stolen items include two 4-by-8 metal tables, one with a large vise; a 40-foot aluminum extension ladder; a space heater; three hose reels (one of them electric); a Cummins motor; two brand-new fiberglass step ladders; dozer batteries, antifreeze, motor oil and hydraulic fluid.

In addition to the stolen items, two large wooden tables were moved by a forklift or other equipment. And a Coke machine – owned by Coca-Cola – was broken into; the motor to the refrigeration unit and money were stolen.

Value of the items stolen was placed at nearly $7,000.

There are currently two suspects in the case and an investigation is continuing.
