TENNESSEE MAYOR ARRESTED BUT CONTINUES TO HAVE NAME PLACED ON BALLOT

The Mayor of Red Boiling Springs was arrested for criminal conspiracy this past week, but his name remained on a ballot in order to save his seat for the election which was scheduled to be held Saturday. Macon County Deputies took Joel Coe into custody Thursday. He was also charged with tampering with evidence. According to records obtained by the sheriff’s department, Coe was messaging someone about picking up a pill press which had been used in the illegal manufacture of drugs such as Fentanyl and heroin. There were also messages found that described hiding the press from authorities. Coe’s bail was set at $125,000. Election information has yet to be released.
